Throw in a pandemic, additional restrictions announced before your wedding date and a smaller guest count = no problem. Kelsey and Katherine were one of my most go with the flow couples that were so excited to be married that each hurdle didn’t faze them. I freaking loved them and their love for each other.
After months of planning, May 15th finally arrived and we all couldn’t wait to see the many details unfold. I arrived at Alouette Lake to guard the perfect lakefront ceremony location. The circle arbor arrived and the florist worked her magic with the jewel tone colour palette we requested.
It was moments before ceremony time, the beach was packed and swimmers and jet skiers had front row seats to witness this ceremony. Their officiant, Beth from Young, Hip and Married, rocked the ceremony with incredible stories and highlighted their modern way of meeting even including messages from loved ones that couldn’t travel to celebrate in person. The couple’s vows were a great balance of mush and gush and full of laughter – just like them.
Following the ceremony the guests enjoyed coffee and pastries (baked by Kelsey herself) before leaving with their own takeaway picnic baskets for their own catered brunch. We couldn’t have the reception we planned but Egg + Co catered an individual brunch for each guest and allowed us to style a table for a photoshoot.
