I’m so excited to share this bright, fun, personalized and detailed wedding at Harrison Hot Springs Resort for Lisa & Grant! Lisa has such a sweet and bubbly personality so we clearly had to go with all the fun colours. Lisa and Grant’s focus was really on their guest experience and ensuring that they enjoy all the couples favourite things for their big day and wedding celebration!
Guests checked in to the Harrison Hot Springs Resort on Friday for the weekend to enjoy all the amenities including the hot springs pools. The following day they traded in their swim suits for wedding attire and were welcomed to the ceremony held under a tent in the garden with a beautiful, floral adorned arbour.
Following the ceremony guests made their way over to cocktail hour on the garden’s lawn for signature cocktails, canapés and lawn games. Once in the reception ballroom guests were greeted with a champagne wall to find their place card and table for dinner.
We completely transformed the ballroom with the help from the amazing team at Ruffled Rose who brought all our floral dreams to life!
Did I mention Lisa LOVES pineapples? Everyone was served a slice of the most delicious pineapple wedding cake and enjoyed the beyond amazing dessert spread all made by Dalana at The Cake and The Giraffe. Once the dance floor opened, props including light up sunglasses, rings and blow up musical instruments were distributed and the party really got started. The late night poutine bar and dole whip station was a hit as everyone danced the night away!
Kind words from the Bride: After meeting with several wedding coordinators I finally met Shawna. It was like love at first sight!
Shawna removed all my stress and made planning my wedding a relaxing and exciting experience. She broke all our tasks down and made it very manageable to juggle work, life and planning. Her vast knowledge of amazing vendors made for quick work to select the best companies for our wedding cake, decor and rentals. I loved that I would pitch out an idea to Shawna (no matter how crazy!) and she would get back to me promptly with an A, B and C option. I honestly can not say enough good things about her!
I was especially grateful for her when we had some issues with our venue early on in the planning. Shawna contacted me immediately and together we formulated a plan and she put it into action. She dealt directly with the venue and was able to take care of those difficult conversations and negotiate a resolution. I was very impressed with her grace and professionalism during this and I was happy to have her represent me.
When our wedding day finally arrived I was a bundle of butterflies and Shawna went above and beyond to make sure I was relaxed and enjoying the moment. Her and her team worked so hard to bring my vision to life and it truly was the greatest day ever!
