“I’ll love you forever, wherever life takes us.” Today I am so excited to be sharing this incredible proposal that took place in Whistler, BC for Michael and Chloe. After months of planning, skype calls and many emails with Michael who is based in Australia, this proposal was brought to life and truly knocked the socks off his sweetheart.
How they met: Michael and Chloe first met in England (while they were traveling) during a group outing. It was then that Michael knew Chloe was someone special. Eight months later, Chloe returned to Australia (where she lived) to meet up with some friends and the two connected again enjoying countless hours of chatting and fun ending at a romantic dinner at the Eureka Tower (a date they would never forget).
How he asked: It was very important to Michael that I find an intimate location that represented the West Coast with stunning organic backdrops and an area for twinkle lights…a must have for Chloe and somewhere that would be the element of surprise. Over the next few months we worked together to create a once in a lifetime moment perfectly personalized to the couple with lyrics of their favourite song, photos of their favourite moments together with twinkle lights above setting the scene perfectly. Stone Circle, located in Lakeside Park, just five minutes from Whistler Village is a popular location for intimate weddings and was the ideal location for Michael to pop the question to his sweetheart. Mathias Fast Photography was on hand to capture the details, the emotional yes from Chloe, a mini engagement session to follow and perhaps some monkey business climbing trees to install the lights with the SHE team. Back in Australia the couple enjoyed attending public art festivals where art is placed randomly in nature and watching the stars. After a romantic dinner at Nita Lake Lodge the couple made their way down to the park to star gaze and find the art pieces displayed (or so Chloe thought). Michael led her along the path to where it veered off to the right. Around the bend, the walkway lite up and she could see photos of the two of them. Right then, she knew what was about to happen and spoiler alert…SHE SAID YES!
